Way to go Youth of Augusta Convocation!!! Isn't Stop Hunger Now awesome? Y'all are taking me back over 30 years to when my main connection to the Episcopal Church was YAC (yes, an official Youth of Augusta Convocation organization!). We held Lock-Ins (one at Trinity was on Sacred Clowning!), went to Council and Summer Camp together BEFORE there was a Youth at Council, even had wonderful prom dates from this great group!! I made friends that I think about every day (I think it is time for me to find all those folks and have a reunion!)!!

Keep up the wonderful work of worshiping and working together. And spread the word and work of Stop Hunger Now----just like that old song says "It only takes a spark, to get a fire going...."

May the desire to share communion and fellowship run deep in your veins and radiate in your lives through all of your relationships. What a rich and meaningful experience you all are capturing. Thoughts and prayers for each and everyone of you!

That picture of Adam and Bradley reminds me of a couple of friends (myself and my dear friend Sharon Bryant of the Monacan Indian Nation) who met at Hemlock Haven senior high church camp 33 years ago this summer!. Adam and Bradley--and all the Diocesan Youth---be prepared to spend the rest of your life cherishing and growing the friendships you have made in the youth program--they will bring you blessings over and over. It is so fun to keep up over the years through good times and bad. Sharon and I spent a couple of weekends together last summer laughing, being silly, and talking over the really serious parts of our lives--just like the old days. Somehow, we have never lost the spark that began with our first Diocesan event--and we have "Passed It On" to others we have come to know through each other (I have even come to know Bradley's parents in recent years!). So keep it up guys.....your life will be so rich for sharing this time with all the wonderful folks you'll get to know in and out of the Diocese. Hey--you should all have a reunion at the Monacan Pow Wow next spring---maybe we can get a picture of four decades of proof that the youth programs like all the special events y'all plan each year and the camps at Phoebe Needles are the best thing going!!

I'm so glad I saw this blog. Camp made a difference in my life, and you, Aimee, added to that difference. I feel blessed to have shared Hardtner with you. Thank you for being my counselor years ago.

To all my Augusta convocation friends, I am so very sorry that I missed out on the antics! Trust me, I would have rather been there than laying in bed with fever and a swollen, infected tonsil. No fun! Looks like ya'll had a great time. Thanks to Marty for pulling through. Wonderful things are happening in your parts up there. Keep up the good work ya'll!

What an amazing Youth@Council experience!!! The best in the past 10 years that I have been involved! The Spirit is moving in these youth in deep and profound ways and it is contagious! I am continually inspired and awed by the depth of inner wisdom these youth have regarding faith and compassion and their courageousness to express it. Thank you for all of your hard work and your "extreme hospitality" - it is manifesting in amazing ways!
